One of the things that's pretty cool about this wiring is it can live inside of the vehicle when you're not using it, that way, you don't have any wiring hanging down below the vehicle if you don't want to. Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Acura MDX- Video
Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the CURT trailer wiring harness four-pole on a 2014 Acura MDX. Having a trailer wiring is a great way to keep yourself safe if you do plan on ever towing a trailer because it's gonna send the light sequence that you're using in your vehicle, which is gonna be your running lights, turn signals, and brake lights to the trailer, letting the people behind you know what you're doing and when you're turning and braking. So, that's gonna be a required application when you are towing. Now, this is also a really nice system because it lives outside the vehicle currently. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2022 Acura MDX- Video
Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we are taking a look and installing the Tekonsha T-One trailer wiring harness on a 2022 Acura MDX. So here's our 4-pole. We have this mounted up on a nice bracket, and this is gonna be great when you're ready to tow a trailer. So your trailer is gonna have lights, and in order for that signal to go from your vehicle to the trailer when driving, you need to hook up to your 4-pole. So this is gonna give you your running lights, your turn signals, as well as your brake lights, and that way the people behind you know what you're doing, and it's gonna keep you safe and legal when towing. more

I actually really like the kit, and we'll kind of talk about this setup a little bit later. So for now, let's kind of focus more on the 4-way connectors.If I had to choose one of these for my own Acura, I think I'd definitely go with the Tekonsha, and that's really just because the quality of construction. more

So one of the things I really like about this wiring is how you're able to store it whenever you're not using it. If you're someone that don't plan on using wiring all that often, you can actually keep it inside of your Acura out of sight and out of the elements, and that's what our customer chose to do today. And all you're going to have to do is open up your floor covering and your little cargo tray, pop open your little cover, and pull your wiring out. So inside of here, it's nice and protected and out of the elements. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Acura MDX- Video
Today in our 2010 Acura MDX, we're going to be installing Tekonsha's T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector. This 4-pole trailer wiring harness, it's going to provide you with all your necessary lighting. This includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps, keeping you DOT compliant in all states.The wiring itself is designed to live inside the vehicle and when you're ready to use it, you can just drape it out over the back like we have here. As part of our harness there's a module that senses the signals from your turn signals and brake lamps and sends them down to your 4-pole connector. What's nice about this is if you have any faults on your trailer, the module will shut down those circuits, protecting the circuits in your vehicle from any damage.When you're ready to use your wiring, simply pull up your panel. Drape it down over the back, making sure that you avoid your striker there and just shut your lift gate. more

Today on our 2019 Acura MDX, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness with a 4 pole flat trailer connector.Here's what our wiring looks like once we have it installed. It is going to provide us with a 4 pole flat trailer connector, that way we have all the lights to safely get down the road, like our tail lights, turn signals, and our stop lights. Our wiring is designed to stay on the inside of the vehicle whenever we're not using it. But when we do, we can simply just drop it out the hatch, and so long as we stay away from the latch mechanism, the weather stripping here will provide enough cushion where the wire won't get damaged. Whenever we're not using our wiring, it's going to store nicely under the compartment by our spare tire tools and out of sight.Our wiring does have a convertor box, and it's going to help convert the signal from our Acura to a working signal for our trailer. But it's also going to protect the wiring on our Acura in case there's any problems on our trailer, so there won't be any back feeding. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Acura MDX- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2013 Acura MDX we're going to be installing CURT's T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four Pole Flat Trailer Connector, Part Number C56038. This wiring harness is going to live inside the vehicle so it's going to be free from the corrosive environment that's outside.You can access it by lifting up on your storage compartment and it's tucked away nicely here on the side. When you're ready to use it you can simply unwind it, drape it out over the back and close your liftgate.The liftgate's going to pinch it between the weather stripping. This will hold it in place, but won't cause any damage to the wiring.This Four Pole Flat Connector is going to provide you with all the necessary lighting. This includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps. This will keep you DOT compliant in all states.Also included with it, you'll get a dust cap. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Acura MDX- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Acura MDX we're going to be installing Curt 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector wiring harness. Part number C56192.This 4-pole flat connector is going to live inside your vehicle and provide you with all the necessary lighting that you'll need. When you're ready to use it, just flip up your cover exposing your wire. You can then drape it over the back, plug it into your trailer, close your lift gate and it will pinch right between your weather stripping which will be fine. It won't damage the wire, it will hold it right in place.This will give you all the necessary lighting that you need for you trailer including your left turn, right turn, brake lamps, and tail lamps. It's going to be DOT compliant in all states.Included with your kit you'll get a dust cap. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Acura MDX 118424- Video
Today, on our 2011 acura mdx, we're going to be installing the draw type T1 vehicle wiring harness, with full pull 00:00:07 flat trailer connector. Part number 118424. We're going to 1st begin here by raising the rear hatch of the vehicle. Next we'll go ahead and lift this cover here, set it up out of the way. We'll then go ahead and remove the jack here, so we got to take the cover out 1st. Next, we'll need to go ahead and remove the rear threshold here at the rear of the vehicle. You simply lift up gently, we've got to pull out from the tabs. more

Today on our 2013 Acura MDX, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118424. Once our wiring is fully installed, it will be hidden, and it's going to stay in this panel underneath until we're ready to use it. Then we can drop our wire down, just making sure we stay away from the latch. And then we can close our hatch, and it'll be right here when we're ready to hook up. Now, we're going to have a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector on the end of our wiring, and it's going to give us all the necessary lights, such as our clearance lights, brake lights, and turn signals, so we can go down the road safely. Now, the installation is very straightforward. We're going to plug into an existing port on our vehicle, and we're going to have to make one ground connection. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Acura MDX- Video
Today on our 2016 Acura MDX we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Curt T Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4 Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number is C56192. Here's what our wiring kit's going to look like when we pull it out of the packaging. This is going to be a really straightforward installation for you to do at home. Basically, this is all going to fit in the rear hatch of the vehicle, and what this does is it's going to take signals from a plug that exists in the back of the MDX, it's going to run it through the converter box that you see here, and then that sends out a usable signal for what we're really after here, which is our 4 pole flat trailer connector. We're going to have right turn and brake, left turn and brake, running light signal, and also a ground, so whether we're hooking to a cargo carrier or a trailer, we'll be able to power those lights. The system's going to deliver 3 amps per circuit for our turn and our brake on each side, and then it gives us a total of 6 amps for our running light power. That should be more than enough to handle any standard duty trailers and cargo carriers. more

Today our 2008 Acura MDX we'll be installing the Curt T Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Four Full Pull Flat Trailer Connector. Part number C56038. Now when we want to hook up to our trailer we just open our cover here, pull the wiring out, and let's make sure we set it to the side of the latch right here so when we close the hatch it doesn't cause any damage to the wiring. Okay, now we have wiring that is nice, easily accessible and tucked up out of the way so it's not in the elements and won't get any corrosion on it. Here's what the wiring kit consists of. We have this module converter box here that plugs into the factory tow package right here, this connector. There's a ground wire here that will with a self tapping screw to the sheet metal of the vehicle. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Acura MDX- Video
Today on this 2014 Acura MDX, we're going to install part number 118628 from Tow Ready. This is a T-One vehicle wiring harness with a four-pole flat trailer connector. All right. The wiring harness we're going to install inside the vehicle. We'll go underneath the floor covering here and then this cover we have to pull up and out of the way, and this is our spare tire area and off to the left hand side here, we'll install our wiring harness. Using a flat screwdriver, we'll go ahead and pop open this lid. This is the socket where our wiring harness will plug into. We're going to take our plug here for our wiring harness and we're going to route it on the inside plastic and over here. Make sure we keep our white inaudible 00:01:00 ring terminal pulled to the outside because we'll ground that using a factory ground in a few moments. OK. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Acura MDX- Video
Today, on our 2011 Acura MBX we'll be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number C56038. We'll go ahead and begin here at the rear of the vehicle. We'll raise the rear hatch up. We need to remove this little access door right here on the driver side. Right there is the location that we'll be plugging our wiring harness into. Next, we're going to go ahead and lift this cover here off in the rear cargo area. We'll then go ahead and pull up our rear threshold piece and set that aside as well. Next, we're going to go ahead and attach our 2-sided tape here to the back side of our converter box. Next. We're going to go ahead and take our plug here and go ahead and set the door off here and make things a little easier. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Acura MDX- Video
Today, on our 2010 Acura MDX, we will be installing the Curt Wiring Harness, Part Number C56038. First thing we'll start with is opening up the hatch and gaining access to the back of the vehicle. We'll want to go ahead and move this weather cover out of the way, and get into our storage compartment. With that out of the way, we'll pop this threshold trim off. Remove the jack cover. Remove this cover, right here, which houses a lot of our electrical connections. It just takes a screw driver, and pop the top off, and slides up and out. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2005 Acura MDX- Video
Today, on our 2005 Acura MDX, well be installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Connector, Part Number 118336.To begin our install, well first open up the rear hatch door and then the rear cargo compartment. Next, well need to remove the two push pin fasteners and secure the rear threshold. Using a flat blade screwdriver or an interior trim panel tool, well get underneath the fastener and just pry it out removing it from its position.Well go ahead and take our trim panel tool or flat blade screwdriver and underneath the threshold and release the fasteners underneath. Once we release these fasteners, well go ahead and pull up on the threshold and remove it.Now, with the threshold out of the way, we can see the manufacturers tool port. To access the tool port, well press on the locking tab and remove it from the cap. Next we can go ahead and remove the cap from its push pin fastened position. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2003 Acura MDX- Video
On this 2003 Acura MDX we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118336. We are in the cargo area of our MDX. We want to go ahead and locate the port that we are going to be plugging our wiring harness into. The wiring harness located inside of the cargo area here is actually right beneath this metal threshold piece here. So, we need to remove a few things to gain access to it. We are going to start by doing that. Next we will remove the middle threshold piece. If you come to the forward side of the threshold piece here, you will see that there are two black push pins that are holding it on this facing. So to remove those, we are going to be using a basic rivet removal tool. And what you are going to want to do is just slide it under the outer ring of the fastener. You take and just pop that right out. And then you will want to move to the topside of the threshold piece and there again are unexposed fasteners just like those that were on the front facing. So we will take the same rivet tool and go ahead and pry it underneath there and pop those out as well. 0:58 more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 Acura MDX- Video
Today on this 2004 Acura MDX we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118336. We are in the rear cargo area of the MDX and we want to locate the port that we are going to plugging our wiring harness into. It is located right behind the rear threshold almost on the driver side. To gain access to it we are going to remove a few things. We need to first remove the floor covering. Remove the two headrests as well. Next the rear threshold piece needs to come off. There are two inside fasteners that are holding it into position and to remove those I am just going to use a rivet removal tool. Get that in there and just pull it away. If you do not have one of these you can just use a flat head screw driver. 00:38 more
